Glutaraldehyde is colorless or yellowish clear and bright liquid
under common ambient temperature, with a sharp pungent of
typical aldehyde. It's soluble in water and organic solvent such
as alcohol and ether. The melting point and boiling point
(decomposes) is respectively -6¡æ
and 185¡æ.
The commercial glutaraldehyde is always water solution of
various concentrations.
Physical and Chemical Properties
Application
Glutaraldehyde is a chemical frequently used as a disinfectant
and sterilizing agent against bacteria and viruses (2%
solution), an embalming fluid and tissue fixative, a component
of tanning solutions, and an intermediate in the production of
certain sealant, resin, dye and electrical products.
Packing, Storage and Transportation
Pack with plastic barrel, 25, 125 or 220 per barrel. Store in
ventilated and dry room. The shelf life is one year. In
transportation, load and unload carefully not to verse or strike
with sharp matter. |
